Non-Refundable Contribution - from $200,000

You can obtain Dominican citizenship by making a non-refundable contribution to the Economic Diversification Fund (EDF) — the official government initiative to support the country’s socio-economic development:
  • $200,000 — for a single applicant
  • $250,000 — for a family of up to 4 people
  • +$25,000 — for each additional child under 18
  • +$40,000 — for each additional dependent over 18
Additional government fees apply:
  • Due diligence: $7,500 (main applicant), $4,000 (each family member aged 16 or older)
  • Government processing fee: $1,000 per application
  • Passport, interview, certification, and shipping: $250 to $1,000 per applicant
Processing usually takes 6–8 months. The contribution is non-refundable, and the entire procedure is fully remote with no residency requirements.

Real Estate Investment - from $200,000

An alternative option is to invest in government-approved real estate in Dominica.
From $200,000 — minimum investment amount for a property or share in a project.
Minimum holding period:
  • 3 years — if sold to a non-citizenship program participant
  • 5 years — if sold to another Citizenship by Investment (CBI) applicant
Government fees:
  • $75,000 — for a single applicant
